Exploring with Treasure Trails
We’re really enjoying working with new client Treasure Trails! It’s an exciting time for the Truro based company who have over 1,200 Trails throughout the UK and are creating more each month. The Flamingo team completed the Newquay Murder Mystery trail and we can confirm it was a great couple of hours exploring the town and discovering its secrets.
Treasure Trails are a captivating challenge that combine mind-twisting clues and fascinating stories.
They’re designed to appeal to anyone with a sense of adventure; from young detectives and budding spies to adults who never grew up.
Follow a self-guided Treasure Trail through the winding backstreets and hidden corners of villages, towns and cities around the UK. Crack the clues along the route to unlock incredible stories from the past and solve the mystery at the end.
“A Treasure Trail is a fantastic way for families and groups to explore towns, cities and villages across the UK with a self-guided themed walk,” said Treasure Trails’ Sam Willsher.
“An easy to follow route enables you to crack the clues whilst taking in some of the most fascinating sights along the way.
“Discover whodunit, find the location of the buried treasure, or complete the mission like a true secret agent.
“The Trails are great for seeing a location from a totally new perspective, whatever your age and whatever the weather,” he added.
The Trails cost £6.99 (plus P&P if required), are suitable for groups of up to five and, compared to the average family day out at a theme park or visitor attraction, represent amazing value for money.
Lasting around two hours, the aim is to solve clues on a circular route of approximately two miles incorporating plaques, signs, statues, monuments, images, engravings or any other unique or quirky features found in the area.
There’s a, rarely-used, SMS ‘Stuck on a Clue’ helpline to ensure no Trail ever goes unsolved and there’s also a chance to win £100 if you enter the answer to your Trail online where you can also download free certificates.
Around 85 per cent of the Trails are walking versions but there are also cycling and driving Trails available.
There are more than 1,200 themed treasure hunts to choose from across the country with enticing titles including; ‘Whitby – Curse of the Vampire’, ‘Lion Hunting in Stoke Newington’, ‘The Lost Bells of Aberdovey’, ‘Pendle Witches’ and ‘The Tipton Slasher’.
