English Tourism Week 2020
I support English Tourism Week, not just because it’s been my career for the past 30 years, but because it also generates £106 billion a year for the economy and supports 2.6 million jobs. This past couple of months have been tough for all in our industry. We at Flamingo Marketing have also been severely impacted, but I know, along with all the people I have met and been fortunate to work with, we have the enthusiasm and tenacity to find ways through this and will thrive again, when we are allowed to fully open our doors again. Tourism will be one of the keys to rebuilding the economy and we need the infrastructure and clear guidance from the government to help us start getting domestic tourism back on its feet for the summer season.
Whilst thinking about this post and what English Tourism Week means – I just want to give a shout out to all the amazing places I have been fortunate to work with;
